Advanced Photonic Sciences now offers the first of a series of new ultra-narrowband, Bragg Grating stabilized Yb,Er:Glass lasers, the Model APS-M-1535-SAM-1-CW-FC Brag-LocTM compact laser. With > 50 mW of single transverse and longitudinal mode CW output power at the eye safe wavelength of 1535nm, the device is offered as a stand-alone device that includes a < 22 cm3 Yb,Er:Glass laser package, integrated electronics including a diode driver and TEC controls, and electronics for implementing automatic-power-control (APC) operation. This laser is fiber-coupled with 1m of long single-mode polarization-maintaining fiber and has excellent long-term stability. The polarization extinction ratio is > 100:1, the output is extremely narrow, < 1 kHz, and has shot-noise-limited RIN at -165 dBc in the 1-100 GHz range.
