Advanced Photonic Sciences and CarbonVision Sign Distribution Agreement

Friendsville, PA – October 24, 2019 – Advanced Photonic Sciences, LLC (“APS,” formerly Snake Creek Lasers, LLC), a diversified company serving the photonics markets with lasers and electro-optical solutions, and CarbonVision GmbH, a manufacturer of optical breadboards of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP), today jointly announced a new distribution agreement for the United States and Canada.

For years, structures made from CFRP, due to its low weight, high strength, excellent thermal stability, and vacuum compatibility have been used for aerospace and space structures. “CarbonVision combines these beneficial material properties with modern manufacturing technology into high-end optical breadboards at reasonable costs,” said Mr. Wolfram Schlossmacher, CEO, and added: “our breadboards follow exactly the needs of our customers and present state-of-the-art products in carbon fiber technology.”

APS, a science and technology-driven company, pioneered the development and manufacturing of both miniature diode-pumped solid-state and kilowatt-class cryo-cooled lasers for military, industrial, biotechnology, and R&D markets. “Our recent name change signifies the company’s widening of its technology base and with the addition of CarbonVision’s products, we now also offer superior foundations for optical experiments” said Dr. David C. Brown, Founder and CTO.
